Cycling in Milton KeynesHeritage Cycle Trails

Milton Keynes has four Heritage Cycle Trails that allow visitors to take in a different view of the city. Milton Keynes has a system of redways which extend nearly 300kms around the city's parks, lakes and rivers. The Heritage Cycle Trails all start from Willen Lake but can be joined at any point on the route. They explore some of the interesting outdoor areas that Milton Keynes has to offer including pretty villages, sculptures, historic buildings and loads more.

The Parks Trust - Self-guided Trails

Health Walks

Walking for Health in Milton Keynes offers a range of walking groups, to suit walkers of all fitness levels. They lead walks across the whole city, to provide the opportunity for you to see the wide range of parks and open spaces available in MK. The walks are all led by qualified walk leaders, offering safe, secure and fun suitable routes for all.

All walks are between 30 mins and 1 hour in length (1.5 - 4miles) and include a social gathering at the end. Occasional longer walks are offered, up to 1.5 hours. Walking for Health enables you to make new friends, improve your health and stay active, and have fun for free!  It is a good way to get to know the local area too. No special clothing is required, please just wear flat comfortable shoes to walk in!

Lost Track of Time Railway Walk

The Wolverton to Newport Pagnell train line was closed in 1967 and was later tarmacked to provide a cycling and walking route that weaves along the canal, past heritage landmarks and arts/heritage centres.  The walk takes you across the North of Milton Keynes from Wolverton & Newport Pagnell, however there are plenty of places to terminate your walk if you wish for something shorter.

Willen Hospice Tree of Life & Peace Garden

The Tree of Life and surrounding Peace Garden at Willen Hospice are open to the public and are there to help celebrate loved ones lives. A place for families and friends to spend time and remember in a peaceful and tranquil setting. An engraved leaf with a personalised message is a beautiful and lasting tribute to a loved one, if they passed away at the hospice or somewhere else.
