Be At One to open in Milton Keynes

Date Posted:03/03/2014

Be At One are opening a new cocktail bar on 19th March in The Hub in Milton Keynes. This is the fourth venture outside of London for Be At One, which is led by three former bartenders who opened their first bar together in 1998.

Operations Director Andrew Stones says, ‘Milton Keynes is a fantastic area for us and we are really looking forward to settling in here; it’s a return home for one of our founders, Rhys Oldfield, who grew up just outside of Milton Keynes. We have taken on eight full-time employees as a result of securing the bar here and the team are currently training in our King’s Cross bar in preparation for the opening in March’.

What makes Be At One different from other cocktail bars is their focus on the holy trinity of fantastic cocktails, served by friendly staff in an excellent atmosphere. Be At One only employs fulltime staff who have great personalities and a passion for excellent service. Eight weeks of training is carefully invested in each team member at a cost of £5,000 by putting them through a comprehensive training programme to ensure all employees are world-class bartenders. The programme consists of learning over 200 cocktails, liquor knowledge, free-pouring, multiple order-taking and serving great quality cocktails in a high-volume, high-pressure environment.

Be At One has 20 other bars which are located mainly across London in Battersea, Richmond, Covent Garden, Balham, Hammersmith, Putney, Soho, Clapham Common, Spitalfields, Shoreditch, King’s Cross, Monument, Guildhall and Russell Street just to name a few.
