Discover Easter Bytes at The National Museum of Computing

Date Posted:06/04/2017

Easter Bytes runs each afternoon at The National Museum of Computing from 6-9 April and 13-17 April with lots of creative digital fun.

Thursday starts with the launch of Gamar - a family-friendly augmented reality tour of the Museum - and is followed by hands-on activities from computer music to Arduino workshops plus interaction with friendly talking robots.

See the Museum in a very new way with the launch of Gamar on Thursday 6 April. Bring your smartphone or pad and load up with the Gamar app (Apple and Android) to have a fun-filled Augmented Reality tour of parts of the Museum.

On Saturday afternoon there is a free Arduino workshop (registration recommended) for anyone who wants to get into the world of Arduinos but doesn't know where to start.

Every day there will be opportunities to make computer music thanks to the ingenuity of Phil Catterall, a very resourceful and imaginative volunteer at the Museum.

See new worlds with computerised 3D microscopes (from Friday to Sunday).

Come along and enjoy the fun for a very modest entrance fee amongst the incredible computers that over seven decades have transformed our world.
