Date Posted:11/03/2015

intu Milton Keynesintu Milton Keynes welcomed a dizzying display of fashion on Saturday as Central Boulevard was taken over by dancers to present Fashion Revolve, in partnership with Hello! Fashion Monthly.

The spring/summer 2015 fashion show kicked off intu Milton Keynes’ Fashion Month, which is taking place throughout March across all intu shopping centres.

Throughout the day, dancers performed dynamic dance routines every 20 minutes, showing off the latest fashions from stores across the centre.  Brands taking part in the fashion show included; Superdry, Topshop and Topman, Miss Selfridge, Gap, T.M.Lewin, Jack and Jones, Karen Millen and more.  There were also discounts and prize draws to win exciting prizes from selected stores.

Martin Hindson, General Manager at intu Milton Keynes, said:  “Saturday was a brilliant day with a fun and attention-grabbing display.  Fashion Revolve incorporated many of our stores and gave our shoppers an entertaining show throughout the day.  We try to do something different with every fashion event we host and this was a great success, enjoyed by staff and shoppers alike.”

The theme of fashion month is ‘let your true colours shine’ and to celebrate, intu is running an instagram competition.  Shoppers simply share their style featuring their colour of the moment; just pout, pose and post, tagging @intuMiltonKeynes on Instagram and using #intuColours. There is a fabulous prize bundle on offer, visit the competition page on the intu Milton Keynes website to find out more.

The intu #mumandme selfie competition is also live with a £150 intu Gift Card to be given away this week!  It’s easy to enter, just send a photo of you and your mum, or you and your child, with #mumandme to @intumk on Twitter or tag @intuMiltonKeynes on Facebook.  Competition ends Friday 13 March.

To round up fashion month, the annual intu Milton Keynes eco weekend will have a fashion twist on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March.  Fashion and textiles students from Milton Keynes College present ‘The Denim Upcycle’.  The students will be in centre with their sewing machines showing shoppers how to upcycle denim garments to give them a stylish refresh.

From Tuesday 10 until the end of March, there will be a giant perspex cube in centre, which is the clothes donation station for the fashion month clothes amnesty.  Shoppers can donate any unwanted items with proceeds going to Open Door, a charity which helps homeless people in Milton Keynes.
