Date Posted:04/08/2015

Snozone FreestyleLong gone are the days of buzzing freestyle events being confined to the mountains of Colorado, Austria, France or Hokkaido; Snozone is the place to be for freestylers this summer, bringing an intense Freestyle Fortnight to its indoor slopes at Milton Keynes and Castleford from 3rd – 16th August.

For two weeks, Snozone’s creative and expert park shaper team will build the best freestyle park features and designs to challenge freestyle riders of all abilities.

Throughout the Freestyle Fortnight there will be three attempts at Guinness World Records which will be open to anybody who feels confident on the main slope.

World Records being attempted:

1. Most participants in a snowboard trick relay – Thursday 13th August – across both sites. Current record 54 people.
2. The greatest distance snowboarded indoors in 24 hours – Thursday 13th August from 12pm until Friday 14th August 12pm across both sites. Current record 25,000 meters.
3. Longest chain of skiers – from 9am, Saturday 15th August across both sites. Current record 60 skiers.

A two hour evening ticket for the whole fortnight is available for £89 or only £69 for Snozone members. Alternatively, a single two-hour session is £14.99 for non-members and only £9.99 for Snozone members.

Riders can pay an extra £5 to make history half of which will be donated to the deaf-blind charity Sense.

Snozone spokesperson Elena Kale says; “Our Freestyle Fortnight is incredibly exciting for us to organise and to be part of. We have seen the standard of the freestyle community here in the UK grow year-on-year to challenge the best in the world and we just know that this will be another fantastic event in the freestyle calendar.”
