Date Posted:17/12/2014

Bletchley ParkIf Benedict Cumberbatch is telling you to visit, what are you waiting for?
It’s been an extraordinary year at Bletchley Park and the icing on the cake would be to reach a record-breaking attendance level of 200,000 visitors before 31 December 2014. The 200,000th visitor will be celebrated with prizes and greetings from Bletchley Park VIPs.
Even Benedict Cumberbatch endorses Bletchley Park as a great place to visit.  Hear his impassioned comments in the Bletchley Park Podcast.
Bletchley Park is Milton Keynes’s nearby heritage site with museums, gift shop and restaurant - an ideal destination for the family or visiting friends and relatives with things to do in and outdoors. There are new interactive exhibits and collections, including The Imitation Game, The Exhibition. Especially over the Christmas break there are two workshops: The Shape of Christmas – run by the Education Team, with festive-themed craft activities for children and their grown-ups. Please see Bletchley Park’s What’s On page to learn more.
Bletchley Park is open to visitors daily except 24, 25, 26 December and 1 January but there's still plenty of time for Bletchley Park to achieve a personal best and lots for visitors to see and do. It’s great value for money, too. With your admission, when you validate your entry ticket, you can make unlimited visits for a whole year and under 12s are free. More information can be found on the website.
Bletchley Park also needs help with volunteers. Ever-increasing numbers of visitors and a revitalised and hugely improved and expanded visitor experience mean there is an urgent need to recruit more volunteers, who help share the story of Bletchley Park and its preservation of the work the Codebreakers did during World War Two. If you have a desire to join in a community-based effort, consider joining the volunteer team at Bletchley Park.
