Womens FA Cup FinalMK Dons have confirmed that this season’s FA Women’s Cup Final will be staged at stadiummk on Sunday 1 June.

The showpiece match, which will kick-off at 4.30pm, will be broadcast live on BBC2 for the second successive season.

The FA Girls’ Youth Cup Final will also take place at stadiummk earlier in the day (1pm kick-off).

It will be the fifth FA game to be held at stadiummk since it’s opening in 2007, following three men’s Under-21 victories against Bulgaria, Azerbaijan and Finland. Brian Eastick’s Under-19 side defeated Russia 3-1 in Milton Keynes in 2008.

Vice Chairman of The FA Women’s Committee, Elaine Oram, said: “We thank Milton Keynes Dons for agreeing to host what is traditionally the biggest and most high-profile domestic women’s match of the season.

“We were impressed with the enthusiasm they showed to stage The Final on our behalf and we are sure they will do a magnificent job, with the help of the City Council and the Berks and Bucks County FA.

“And to once again have the support of the BBC is absolutely fantastic. The BBC broadcast all three of England Women’s home World Cup qualifiers last year and we look forward to more excellent coverage of women’s football throughout 2014.”

Tickets for The Final will go on sale on Friday 21st February.
