Record success for intu MK student night

intu Student Night successintu student night events exceeded expectations this year, with attendance up 20% across the intu group. intu Milton Keynes’ event on Thursday 8 October saw hundreds of  students from across the region flocked to the centre for the highly anticipated Student Night.

Queues to sign up were already formed at 4pm when the event kicked off. Students even travelled to MK from further afield to enjoy the special offers and activities available for one night only.

Students were treated to exclusive offers including: 25% off at Gap, 20% off at Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge, schuh, OFFICE, Superdry and Levi’s.  Pret and Lush offered free treats in store on the night; and Fuel handed out plenty of delicious smoothie samples. For shopaholics this was a night not to be missed!

There was plenty more going on around the centre with loads of chances to win great prizes.  STA Travel were on Central Boulevard with their campervan, offering students the chance to win return flights to Australia, plus, by visiting them in their new store, students had the chance to win £1,000 to spend at STA Travel.  MKFM performed an incredible live DJ set and gave away two pairs of tickets to see Will Young live in Campbell Park on Friday 9 October.  In the spirit of all things rugby, there was a speed cage competition with an official RWC 2015 rugby ball for the person that threw the rugby ball the fastest – the fastest on the night was 33 miles per hour!  

Finally, students had the opportunity to enter the AW15 Style Spotter Competition for the chance to win £500 worth of goodies from stores including Karen Millen, Starbucks, T.M.Lewin, Jack and Jones, Millie’s Cookies, Lego and New Look, as well as a spa break at Whittlebury Hall Hotel for two people.

At intu we are all about bringing that extra special something to our shoppers’ experience with us, and it was great to see everyone enjoying the DJ set and speed cage activities, as well as all the samples and special beauty treatments in the stores.

“There were some great deals and I saw a lot of happy faces leaving with armfuls of bargains! I am thrilled with what a successful evening it was.”
