Red Bull Racing in pole position for MK Museum's Transport Weekend

Date Posted:12/09/2016

MK Museum Transport WeekendA Red Bull Racing Formula One car will be the star attraction at MK Museum’s annual Transport Weekend.
A replica of a Red Bull Racing RB4 (in current livery) that raced in the 2008 Formula One season will join more than 200 other cars, vans, military equipment and motorbikes – many of them vintage – at the event on September 17 & 18.

The MK-based Formula One team pledged the car’s loan in support of the museum’s expansion plans and after the transport weekend it will remain on show in the Hall of Transport until the end of the 2016 season.
The spectacular Red Bull Racing car is one reason for visitors to get revved up over the weekend, but other attractions will have 'wheel appeal' for motoring fans too.

Many of the cars parking up for the Transport Weekend are labours of love for their owners, who have spent significant amounts of time and money to get them looking all shiny and sensational!

Those who prefer to travel on two wheels will be thrilled by the large turnout of gleaming bikes, and retro buses and coaches will evoke sunny day trips to the seaside.

Children won't miss out either, and they can even hop aboard for a trip on a miniature train.
Craft stalls, model railway displays and a BBQ will all figure, and all of the usual museum attractions will be open throughout the weekend.

The tea room will serve refreshments, and in the museum's street of shops those who aren't driving might like to enjoy something a little stronger, with real ales and ciders on tap.

Journey over with the whole family, take your weekend up a gear and snap a picture of that Red Bull Racing car!

Standard admission applies - which will also give you FREE entry for the following 12 months; adults £9, child £6, retired & unwaged £7.
A family ticket (admitting two adults and up to four children) is £26.
