Theatre District Christmas Family Event

Date Posted:11/11/2014

Theatre District Christmas Milton KeynesThe 2014 Theatre District Christmas event on Sunday 30th November promises to be even more family fun than ever before. They have a full line up of fantastic FREE entertainment, including local singing sensation / song writer Bailey McConnell, local band The Shures, Scott Finley, UK Hip Hop Champions Limitless Dance Crew, Cheerleaders MKCM and, as ever, FREE kids rides kindly provided by Keith Emmett.

This year the event supports The Henry Allen Trust, a local charity started in 2013 after Henry Allen, at only 4, lost his battle to Neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. The charity was set up by Dawn and Mark Allen (Henry’s Mum & Dad) to help bring happiness to other children and their families who are battling cancer.  All money raised from the event will go to this amazing charity and they will be selling their own merchandise plus running a tombola and kids fun stalls to raise additional funds.

The festivities will start at 4pm when the FREE rides and refreshments will be opened, followed by a packed programme of talented singers and dance groups, all organised by Real Music MK.  This year they have Barleyhurst Park Primary School on as the first act and Alive & Singing Rock and Pop Choir will return for their second visit.  Local, friendly mascots will be out and about, and apparently Father Christmas has prioritised this event in his busy diary, so will be in his little grotto ready to find out what all the well behaved girls and boys would like for Christmas.

The Christmas Family Fun event on Sunday 30th November will take place in the central area of the Theatre District – at the side of Bella Italia.  Kids rides, stalls and refreshments will be opened at 4pm and stay open throughout the event.  The official switch on of the Christmas lights by The Henry Allen Trust Patrons Bailey McConnell (singer), Karl Robinson (MK DONs) and Ann-Marie Davies (actress, model & presenter) plus special local guest, will take place around 6.45pm.  There will also be, for the very first time, an official switch on of the unique Christmas Light and Sound Dome!
