Victorian Christmas returns to MK Museum

Date Posted:17/11/2014

Milton Keynes MuseumIf you’re looking for a special festive treat this Christmas, you’ll find all the magic you could wish for at Milton Keynes Museum’s Victorian Christmas days.  From carols and hot chestnuts to Santa and his sledge, the Museum turns back time to the age that created Christmas as we know it today.

From Fridays through to Sundays every weekend in December, the whole family can enjoy Christmas past, including:

  • mulled wine served by our butler by the roaring fire
  • carols around the piano in the Victorian parlour
  • hot chestnuts in the working forge
  • hot buttered toast made the old-fashioned way with a toasting fork
  • Christmas card-making in the schoolroom
  • an audience with Queen Victoria in the hall
  • vintage Christmas films showing in the chapel
  • a gifts and crafts fair in the barn
  • homemade seasonal refreshments in the Granary tearoom
  • and, of course, Santa and his elves in the grotto.

As always, there’s no extra charge for admission to the Museum during its Victorian Christmas celebration – and the memories you make will be priceless.
