intu parking charges will not go up

Date Posted:23/11/2015

intu Christmas parkingThe general manager at intu Milton Keynes has stated that the car parking tariffs in the centre’s multi-storey car park will NOT increase.

The welcome news comes the week after Milton Keynes Council announced that it is to increase parking prices for 300 bays located near the shopping centre from 50p to £2 an hour. General manager Shelley Peppard says that intu Milton Keynes remains one of the cheapest places to park in CMK; “we charge £2 for up to two hours and then just £1 per hour after that, plus you pay on exit which allows our shoppers to relax when they visit.”

The intu Milton Keynes shopping centre recently installed a new parking system that allows customers to pay by cash, card and even contactless. Shelley adds: “This is one of the busiest times of the year for us and we want people to enjoy their entire experience, which starts when parking their car. We will not be increasing our prices in the near future and we are introducing a new parking scheme for 2016, which will help our shoppers save.”

intu Milton Keynes has 750 spaces, including disabled and parent and child spaces on two levels. Two passenger lifts and escalators give easy access from the car park directly to the shopping centre. Disabled shopping bays are located on both floors of the car park, near the lift lobbies.
