The Comedy Cow 'Raise the Steaks' With Festival Fun

Having last year brought one of the biggest one day comedy events ever to hit Milton Keynes, this year the team at 'The Comedy Cow' are going even bigger and better by adding a Friday night show to their festival.  Once again this summer some of the best known names in comedy will be 'herded' into MK to give their shows a run out, before crossing the border to spend August at world renowned Edinburgh Festival alongside their Highland chums.

The fun kicks off on Friday 31st July with a special show in Oakgrove theatre headlined by the wonderfully funny Hal Cruttenden, star of 'Live at the Apollo', 'Have I Got News for You', 'The Royal Variety Performance' and 'Mock the Week'.  Hal has been at the top of the comedy tree for the last decade, and is guaranteed to get the weekend off to a fantastic start.

But that really is just the beginning, as on Saturday 1st August you can take your pick from 18 shows being staged across 4 rooms at Oakgrove.  Top billing on the Saturday is reserved for Reginald D. Hunter, the softly-spoken American giant of stand-up, who is sure to cause a stir with his searingly honest and hilarious take on the world. New to the festival for this year are some of the rising superstars of comedy on the UK circuit. In addition to regularly performing at shows in comedy clubs all over the country, Bobby Mair, Matt Forde, Harriet Kelmsley, Mark Simmons and Pierre Novellie are fast becoming household names, having appearing on comedy and panel shows across BBC, ITV, C4, Comedy Central and Radio 4.  In addition, firm festival favourites Simon Brodkin (aka Lee Nelson), Jo Caulfield, Lucy Porter, Andrew Lawrence and Stephen Bailey will all be returning with their new shows for 2020, so you can catch up with what they've been up to in the past year. There's simply not room to list all of the acts, but with a broad range of comedy styles from one-liners, to impressions, from musical comedy, to bizarre and hilarious observations, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone in this feast of festival fun!

Because 'The Comedy Cow' are firm believers that the summer should not be 'all work and no play' this year they have also added corporate sponsorship packages, all of which include event tickets; so you can enjoy a weekend of comedy with your colleagues, and have something properly interesting to discuss over the photocopier on Monday morning.  With a range of packages to suit all budgets, you can guarantee everyone in the workplace a giggle while also promoting your business.  For more details and to book your package contact:  Ben@thecomedycow.co.uk

All this laughing can be hungry work, so once again Hilltop Catering, The Taco Shack and, new for this year, The Willen Ice Cream Company will be on hand to provide the refreshments and keep you going throughout the day.

For the full lineup and to book your tickets visit www.thecomedycow.co.uk.  There are options to purchase tickets for Friday (£15), Saturday (£35) or enjoy the full weekend (£40). But do get in quick, because with a lineup this 'udderly' brilliant, tickets are sure to 'moooove' quickly!
